why do 4k video look “more clean” than videos in 1080p, on the same exact monitor.
(maybe it’s just mine, i have an asus monitor)

Simply put 4k has more pixels.
1080p is 1920×1080 pixels
4k is 3840×2160 pixels.
Doing the math is 4x the pixels
Keep in mind that screen size matters also. Small screens like phones are so pixel dense that 1080p can look as good as 4k on a large tv.
