A Pool Break.

If a pool table was set up in the exact same way over a series of times and the exact same power was applied to the cue, would the resulting break always be the same? If not why?

Yes. Though, as others have mentioned, there are a lot of variables that you can’t calculate for. These variables aren’t too much of a factor to where it makes the balls become too unpredictable, however. At least for a professional. For example, breaking in 8 ball, we know there’s a certain spot to place the cue ball, where to aim the cue ball, and where to hit the cue ball in order for it to have the highest odds of sinking the 8 ball off of the break.
