The wall of awful is the emotional barrier that grows out of repeated failure, preventing us from taking risks and initiating tasks. We just “know” if we do a certain thing, it’s going to end up a certain way, because life is hard and I never get a win, so why even try? It feels rational, but it really isn’t. We are perfectly capable, we just have a round about way of getting there, because every single time we have to break through this wall of crap blocking our way. It’s a great video (and channel) to understand exactly what this feeling is in simple terms.
