Why whenever your internet is super slow do the ads always play perfectly but nothing on the page will load?

They’re closer to you.
Youtube for example has a content delivery network. CDN. Servers all over so they don’t have to move the data all the way around the world. It’s one of the reasons you see the same stupid ads over and over rather than anything new and interesting. It’s cheaper to show the same thing over and over.
