Ants: from where do these tiny little ones come out when you drop food? Why are they not visible otherwise? Why are they always in packs and unending line?

Sugar ants. No getting rid of em. 2 molecules wide until they eat something on your floor/counter , then they assume that width (of what they are) so visible suddenly. And then the procreation.. don’t get me started
