Are constant Shock Waves possible?

Imagine a dome around you. Would that be possible without explosions? Or would it be even possible with explosions ?

No. atleast not on a personal dome level.

Because Shockwave is a propagating disturbance in the surrounding medium.

If you are constantly producing a massive amount of energy, then the surrounding medium’s molecules will simply speed up due to absorption until your energy can no longer create a supersonic disturbance.

This is why its possible for planes to generate a constant shockwave because they are constantly on the move.
