I sometimes read about or hear about famous artists (painters, sketchers and sculptors) and ask myself how they got famous. Now, these can be very talented artists or just meh. And come across some artist that a completely out of this world and nobody knows their names.
How do (sometimes average) artists like this gain fame and critical acclaim while others who seem more talented languish in obscurity?

Same goes for music artists, some really terrible singers are super rich and famous, while actual amazing ones you might find singing for pennies in the subway. World’s not fair, or is tone-deaf xD
