Asexuality

How does asexuality work? Do asexuals have no sexual interest? Do they get horny but just don’t want to engage in coitus? Do they still feel romantic attraction, just not sexual attraction? Are asexuals only interested in themselves?

Asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction.

One way to understand asexuality for people who are not ace or bi is to think about the genders that you are not attracted to. For aces, that’s everyone.

Imagine a straight guy. He can still think a guy looks good. He can have sex with other guys. That doesn’t mean he finds guys hot. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t like girls. But he’s probably not racing out the door for gay sex.

As there are a lot of questions op asked, here’s some quick answers:

Some aces get horny, but it’s more along the lines of a weird boner. Some aces get romantic attraction, 60% off the top of my head. And no, aces are not sexually attracted to themselves, just like how most other people are not.
