Calculator says 8÷2(2+2)=1

Question

I know bedmas. Shouldn’t it be left to right when tied?(multiplication and division). This would give 16.

This feels like homework help… but:

You do the brackets first so: 2+2=4

Then you multiply what’s in the brackets by (in this case) 2, so: 2*4=8

Then divide: 8÷8=1
