Calculator says 8÷2(2+2)=1

Question

I know bedmas. Shouldn’t it be left to right when tied?(multiplication and division). This would give 16.

This is a certain equality.

In math, parenthesis executes first, then multiplication/division, then adding and substracting.

So:

8/2*(2+2)=1

8/2*(4)=1

8/8=1

Which is true.
