Can a continuous EMP be possible? If so, how would it work compared to a standard pulse EMP

Just the title. I was wondering that if there was a system that constantly (automatically) replaces damaged parts of a circuit whenever it gets fried (in this case, an EMP), a continuous EMP would be efficient to counteract such defences.

What you are describing is “a really powerful radio transmitter”. The basic technology is very simple. It just takes a *lot* of power

It is theoretically possible, but I think it would start causing other effects that you wouldn’t expect, like causing metal to get hot and other things. It would also require a LOT of energy. Consider that the EMP effects we have studied the most are from nuclear bombs
