Can a gunshot wound have the same entry and exit point?

I have read that the possible causes of lack of exit wound is when the bullet is still lodged inside or when the entry and exit point is the same. How can a bullet enter and exit the same point?

It’s possible (although rare) for a bullet to ricochet off a bone.

So technically it could enter, ricochet off a bone, and come back out through the same hole. Highly unlikely, but possible.
