Can manufacturers like AMD or Intel increase APU size to increase iGPU performance?

The demand for higher quality APUs or iGPUs has been on the rise lately. So, is it possible for manufacturers like AMD and Intel to make APUs bigger to have more room to make a better iGPU?

They increase size for things like Threadrippers, I am assuming because they have so many cores. So can they do this with APUs to have better iGPU performance?

To some extent, probably. Although one huge limiting factor that can be observed even in current designs is the limited memory bandwidth available to the processor. A larger graphics core would see limited benefit if the whole processor becomes starved waiting on data transfers to/from RAM.
