Can someone explain block universe theory of time?

From, what I understand,According to this theory, the past, present and future all exist at the same time.Does that mean,we never die, since the past exists eternally.

P.S.Pls someone tell me this is not true because I want to get completely deleted from spacetime after death.Eternal oblivion is what I want after [death.Is](https://death.Is) eternal oblivion, after death impossible if block universe theory of time is true?

You have a handle on it already. I’ll add that you should think of time as a dimension that has pretty much the same features as the spatial dimensions. If you were standing in the middle of a room, you wouldn’t think of the room to your right being created or coming into existence only as you walked in that direction, you understand intuitively that it all exists already and you’re just moving into it. But it’s already there and complete regardless of whether you were actually there yet. Time is the same thing. The entire universe is there and complete from the beginning of time to the end of time. and just because you haven’t gotten there yet doesn’t mean it’s not already there set in stone, figuratively speaking. So no, there’s no deletion from space time.
