can someone explain the difference between fast and slow-twitching muscle fibres, and the advantages of each?

I’m just trying to understand what’ll make a human much more capable of surviving in the wild. Would having more fast-twitching muscle fibres or slow-twitching ones be more beneficial?

The simplest way to put it is, fast twitch muscle is for short bursts of energy – this is what would be used in a sprint for instance.

Slow twitch muscles have way more blood vessels and energy making mini cells to help keep them working for longer periods – endurance running or swimming for instance.
