Can someone explain the differences / characteristics between masses, motets and madrigals? (Renaissance music)

Question

I’m a little more unsure about the differences between masses and motets, since they both involve voices and are sacred works. I know Madrigals are mainly secular works, but they also involve singing. What in the music itself makes them different?
