I know different plants need different kinds of light. But I cannot seem to understand….where the light is? Like is indirect light just inside anywhere there is light? I have read that behind a light curtain is ok but I have also seen someone say the planter needs to see the sky. Too much info. Does it have to be in a window? What about low light? Just help please.

Indirect light means light that does not cast a shadow. It’s diffuse. You cannot use a magnifying glass to make a burning spot.
Think cloudy day. It can be bright, but no shadows. Or a photographer that holds a reflector or a light box. The light is not directly line of sight shining on the subject, it’s reflected, or refracted.
Low light is shade. But note that outside shade is often more light than indoors indirect. Sun is obnoxious strong. Don’t put house plants in the shade.
Most house plants like bright+indirect light. A curtain for south (noon) and west (afternoon) window. North window can be unfiltered, even then possibly not enough light. East (morning) window maybe filter maybe not. East is generally believed to be less harsh but ymmv.
