Can someone please explain network entropy. I’ve read the wikipedia and I’m still confused. I understand that if I make a photocopy of a photocopy eventually it will introduce noise, but I don’t understand how it applies to a digital signal. Does this have something to do with a analog signal

If you have a light bulb that turns on and off every time you flip a switch, and you flip the switch again, and again, and again, eventually the light bulb will burn out. Once the light bulb burns out, one of those flips of the switch will not register, and the light will not turn on. This example somewhat illustrates the interference that a signal may receive.
