Can the polarity of a magnet auto-adjust?

I found a project on kickstart called: ” [PIXL: A Magnetic Building System](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/antsylabs/pixl-a-magnetic-building-system)”.

At the bottom you have a section saying it can auto-adjust according to which sides you hold together.

” We should also mention that we designed PIXL™ to not just be magnetic, but to be self-correcting/auto-polarizing. What does that mean? Basically, you can place any PIXL™ block next to another PIXL™ block and it will be attracted to it, correcting the polarity as needed.”

Can anyone explain to me how this is possible please?

It’s probably a spherical magnet that is free floating inside the plastic. If it comes up against an opposing polarity, the sphere rotates to align correctly.

I could be very wrong but it’s possible there’s a way for the magnet to spin around inside.
