Can Wi-Fi harm human health?

Were there any new researches, featuring the impact Wi-Fi has (or has not) on human health?

No, it is low energy radio waves that do not have the strength to do anything to the human body in the short or long term. The only time you really have to worry about radio doing damage is if you’re standing very close to a super high powered radar system like on a ship or air traffic control towers.

All the research says “no”. WiFi isn’t anywhere close to energetic enough to have any effect on anything that we can tell.

It’s always *possible* there’s some mechanism we don’t know about at work, but so far we haven’t been able to detect it.

A wifi signal quickly attenuates, or loses power. So it might broadcast from the antenna at 1mW and reach your phone at .0001 mW for example. Your microwave works at 1000 or so Watts, not mW.

Hopefully i didn’t misspeak anywhere on accident. My job is wireless communications. I would probably be dead by now if wifi was bad for me.

No. Wifi is well established as being within safe power levels. You could suckle the antennae or wear your router as a hat for years and have zero impact other than people looking at you funny.

PLEASE don’t spread crazy bullshit internet rumors about RF impacting health. This is the most toxic sort of anti-science facebook-levels of nonsense. It’s on par with chem-trails, lizard people, anti-vaxxers, and the “birds aren’t real” crowd. siiiiigh, I miss the days when creationists were the craziest stuff we had to deal with.

Radiation is either ionising (gamma, X ray, UV, etc.) or non ionising (visible light, infrared, microwave). Ionising radiation has the potential to rip apart DNA itself, non ionising radiation simply cannot do that.

WiFi is microwave radiation, it can’t damage your DNA anymore than a lightbulb can. What it can do is heat up things (which is how your microwave oven works) but WiFi is very very low power and really cannot heat you up at all. We are talking less power than rubbing your hands together.
