Car Reflections.

When driving, I often noticed that in most cars, if not all, my car reflection, and the car in front of me is right side up. However, in jeeps specifically, I’ve noticed that my car reflection is upside down? ELI5. I’m thinking angles or curvature of that brand?

Other cars are flat and it act like a mirror.

But probably the curved surface of the jeeps bounces incoming rays back towards a central focus point lying between your eyes and the jeep’s.

In passing through this point, rays from the upper part of your car are reflected downward, while those from the lower part are reflected upward. And that Causes you see it upside down.

The image will only be upside-down if the reflective surface is concave. Nothing to do with what image is being reflected. If you’re seeing Jeep upside-down regularly, you’re just coincidentally in front of a concave surface.
