– Chrome RAM usage

Question

Why is everyone blaming chrome for ram usage? I have 16gb of ram and a adata ssd, I was able to have 1000 tabs open, and everything was running smoothly. I was also able to game on this machine while Chrome was running.

I know that everything is cached to disk, but why there is so much hate towards Chrome, when in reality it has an amazing memory management?

Google rolled out a new feature early this year that kills inactive tabs. So depending on your usage, Chrome uses a lot less RAM than it used to.
