Explanation – Well, they couldn’t. The physical structure of a gorilla is incompatible with being permanently bipedal. We also have some of their DNA. In fact, that is pretty much all we have last I heard. The DNA points to them being a very close relative to modern humans and neanderthals. Both of which, we know for sure, were bipedal. You probably wouldn’t notice a Denisovan as anything other than a human. We don’t even know what they looked like, but it had to be close to us.
