Have you read the Issendai page for this? http://www.issendai.com/psychology/estrangement/missing-missing-reasons.html. It has multiple examples.

It’s a trait in storytelling, often about a family relationship issue, where the narrator says they don’t know why their estranged family member has a grievance against them but their story indicates they’ve been told why:

Example:

“*My children won’t talk to me or let me see my grandchildren and I have no idea why. Every time I ask them they just say all these horrible things and when I try to argue they end the conservation*”

The narrator looking for support has said the reasons for the estrangement are missing, but then indicates they’ve been told exactly why, and then won’t share those reasons.

These are the “missing reasons” the narrator is supposedly searching for that are missing from the narration – the missing missing reasons.
