As far as I know, both can refer to a type of tumor found in abnormal locations in the body. Both are derived from germ cells. So, what’s the actual difference between those two terms?

They’re different types of tumors. Teratomas can grow hair and teeth, while choristoma are usually composed of bone and cartilage.
