Eli5: A lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays, which makes sense to me since they’ve been open all weekend. Why do a lot of Asian restaurants close on Tuesday instead?

For weekend workers, Monday is their weekend, before the back to normal work on Tuesday.
It’s not a perfect answer to your question, but I’ve asked this question to a few different Asian restaurants staff and that’s the answer they give me.
