Eli5 Can loud sounds damage the lungs ?

I know that sounds can shatter ear drums and cause ears to bleed and such

But can it do damage to the respiratory system ?

look up how barometric pressure is affected by sound if you wanna know more, it can be pretty lethal if an explosion happens and you’re next to it but still behind something like a wall. here’s an article from the cdc that explains it more thoroughly

In theory yes but if its loud enough to damage your lungs it’s loud enough to damage the rest of your body too.
