Like when they turn into liquid, and when they form into butterflies, where does the poison go?

Not all species of caterpillar are poisonous and some butterflies are still poisonous after metamorphosis. But in general an animal either makes it’s own toxin/poison or gets it from eating something toxic. If the animals body stops making the toxin or it stops eating the thing that is toxic, eventually the poison in its body breaks into pieces and stops working
