Eli5: Do retired people still file income tax?

Question

Just recently filed my taxes and put in my expenses and deductions. And I started wondering, do retired people still file taxes? Aren’t taxes filed by people that are working? Or is it different?

Any pensions/retirement plans or investments still count as income and will be taxed. I’m sure there’s exclusions, but this is my understanding.
