Most ant colonies of most species will indeed kill ants from other colonies.
Some ants even raid other colonies, and take their eggs, and have those ants do all the work.
Argentine ants though are exceptional in that they treat ever member of their own species as a colony member.
This leads to some scientist calling their spread a “global mega-colony”
