In layman’s terms it is a philosophy of materialism i.e. that philosophy should be rooted in the real world first and foremost and this particular materialistic philosophy is also dialectic, meaning that things are separated into two opposing positions and the object of this philosophy is to attempt to resolve those opposing real world positions through real world analysis and, if necessary, confrontation.

In kid terms, it is the idea that people ***do*** things that are in conflict with things other people ***do*** and that the best way to progress is to resolve these conflicts directly.
