[Eli5] Fracking Health Concerns

Question

Got some wells near me in SE Ohio, one within a half mile.

I’m interested to learn the health concerns and air / water quality testing that I could do to alleviate or reinforce those concerns.

The idea is that the solution that the drillers pump underground may contain dangerous chemicals and may seep into groundwater more broadly.

Evidence is mixed on the extent that this happens and even more nebulous on the impact on human health. I would advise contacting your state’s health department for guidance rather than randos on the internet.
