Eli5: How can pre-cooked foods have fewer calories than my app says the main ingredient should have?

I track my calorie intake, and noticed that the pre-cooked chicken breast strips that my parents stock were 120kcal/100g, but my calorie tracking app says that just plain chicken breast is 195kcal/100g.

Where is this difference coming from? Is the app just wrong?

It will be because the precooked chicken breast is likely of _abysmal_ quality and full of added water. Have a look at the ingredients and see what percentage is actually chicken.
