ELI5. How can we read something in our head in somebodys voice? (Read this again with Morgan Freeman’s voice)

There was this character in a comic called Sam and Fuzzy.
It was a grumpy crab and I realized I always read his dialogue in a different voice than the rest. I couldn’t figure out what the voice was, the dialogue was not written to invoke any accent or anything. One day it hit me, I was reading it in Futurama’s Richard Nixon’s voice.
