Eli5 How come the world is running out of bees but regular flies seems doing fine?

We’re not running out of bees. Many of these environmentally conscious people that are keeping bees are doing more harm than good.

Not all bees are honey bees. So when you keep many hives of honey bees they end up taking from the NATIVE bee population.

It’s good for the honey people, not for anyone else, or the native bees.
