So for those people who decided not to go to the theater and just watched it at home-that was one less ticket bought, so one less ticket for profit for the movie, right? How did those movies make up that loss? Or did they just take the hit?
Weirdly, Dune was also licensed to Netflix. So it got ticket sales, drove some share of subscribers to Max, the Warner Brothers/HBO service, and then was also licensed to Netflix for a period of time on that streaming platform.
