Eli5 how do aquarium’s get the fish

Do they just capture them with a net under the sea or do they breed them then how do they get them in the tank without the fish running out of air do they open the top or somthing?

There are specialized companies around the world that will go out, kidnap fish from their habitat, and then ship them to aquariums.

Its really no different from how Zoo get their animals (initially).
