As a father of a three year old… That’s exactly what they do. As the teeth grow the more they bite down on things and develop their jaw and tongue muscles, the teeth grind through the gum.

Put your finger in your mouth between your upper and lower incisors.

Bite down.

Keep biting down, and as you do, pay attention to what’s going on.

Now, do you keep biting down until you bite through your finger, or are there reasons that become readily apparent why you might want to stop biting long before that point?
