As far as I understand it (which could very well be wrong) phosphocreatine is used in the ATP-CP energy production system by taking the phosphate from the phosphocreatine and attaching it to the adenosine diphosphate. My question is how do creatine supplements, which contain no phosphate of their own, increase energy reserves when all they do is increase creatine reserves in muscle tissue, which already has the excess floating around because of the ADP to ATP combination.
