If all a drug addict does is sit around being high *for days* how don’t they die from dehydration or starvation. Does heroin suppress the bodies’ desire for water and nourishment?

They usually die of an OD or illness long before they starve to death.

Essentially, not eating weakens the body and, along with the drugs in their system, this results in them falling ill and dying of related illnesses like the flu or infection or their heart fails.
