How/why does the bacteria stay in one place? I do know that septicemia can happen. Is it just certain infections or will all untreated infections eventually becomes sepsis?

So bacteria is it’s own organism. Let’s say you get an infection on a wound. Your body will fight that bacteria while it tries to heal itself. Let’s say the bacteria is something extreme like MRSA (an extreme staph infection) then in that case, the body will still try to fight the bacteria but the bacteria grows faster and is stronger than your body. Therefore the infection will get worse because your body can’t fight fast enough.

If someone has an immune system issue, their body will be even less efficient at killing the bacteria.
