ElI5: how do the tank barriers (looks like large jacks) stop tanks? I see two people can carry them, can’t the tank push it out if the way?

Must be a universal shape. You can make similar shaped objects out of nails that work on humans and tired vehicles.
In the WW2 Dday invasion Allied tanks were initially having issues moving around due to the vast presence of hedgerows ( long thick bushes) . They had to put ‘cowcatchers’ (akin to those on the front of trains) on the nose of the tanks to overcome them.
You never know if there are mines hidden there, so you don’t just run ovet it , and it slows you down , sometimes enough to get hit by a missile. Plus , when they are covered in barbed wire , they can really stop a tank,and it takes time to untagle it from tracks so again , super dangerous situation. Simple, old fashioned yet still effective if used properly…
