Nothing worthy of the name ‘tank’ is getting airdropped and landing in operable shape, I don’t think. Russia’s BMD is an air-droppable version of the BMP infantry fighting vehicle, and that’s one of the heaviest things I’m aware of that can be parachuted. It uses special rocket chutes and I shudder to imagine what the drop is like for the crew.
It’s just over 8 tons combat-loaded. Main battle tanks are 40 to 60-ish tons.
