Eli5: How do things light on fire with a low temperature?

So, if fire is a specific temperature (google says between 2400-2700 degrees fahrenheit) but my oven is only set to 400 degrees, then how do things set on fire?

The amount of energy you need to get the reaction *started* is not the same as the amount of energy the reaction *releases.*

If it were, there would never be such a thing as an explosion.
