Eli5 How do we know gravity isn’t just magnetic

This is boggling my mind as to why shouldn’t this be a main theory to explain gravity. I also know nothing about physics so what would I know.

because unlike eletromagnetism we can measure that there is a force that acts on everything that has mass, even in the absence of eletric charge.

hell we even see this force acting on some aspects that we understand as not having mass, ie: light.
