Eli5 How do we know gravity isn’t just magnetic

This is boggling my mind as to why shouldn’t this be a main theory to explain gravity. I also know nothing about physics so what would I know.

Because we can make magnets, very strong magnets if you count superconducting electromagnets. These magnets don’t change the measured gravity in any measurable way. If gravity were magnetic, they would be “anti-gravity” at some field orientation.
