Eli5 how does a dual display screen work in range rovers or other cars?

There are two separate screens.

Both of them typically connect to the same set of computers, so they can control the car as a whole.

Not sure what I’m missing about this question.

I mean when the display shows one thing from the drivers side and another thing from the passenger side

The two different screens are **interlaced**. Call the driver’s image A and the passenger’s B. The columns of pixels on the screens are alternating so that all odd numbered columns (1, 3, 5,…) show A and all the even numbers (2, 4, 6,…) show B.

On top of the screen is a single sheet with a series of
Lenses over each pair of columns that bends the light to send the left half (odd columns) toward the left (driver) and the right half (even columns) towards the right (passenger).
