So I understand how radio waves and such work with the low frequency radiation, but how does bluetooth work? Like what kind of waves are being sent and how are they picked up on?

I’ve tried googling this but I still dont understand. Please explain this to me like I am a 5 year old monkey

Bluetooth is a brand name (pretty much) or you could refer to it as a set of wireless communications protocol. Fancy words but it is still pretty much “radio” or electromagnetic waves.

The specification defines the frequencies used, method for discovering and identifying devices, pairing etc but these are just the nuts and bolts details. Basically radio.
