When I measured the sun, it gave a UV index of 6. When I measured the uv flashlight, it gave a uv index of 196. Is the sun not more powerful in UV than the flashlight?

You know how sunbeds can give you a tan quicker than laying in the sun?
Same thing. The source of the UV is closer.
If I can fry an egg on my stove, but not on the pavement, it doesn’t mean my stovetop itself is hotter than the sun. It’s just much closer to the egg.
