When I measured the sun, it gave a UV index of 6. When I measured the uv flashlight, it gave a uv index of 196. Is the sun not more powerful in UV than the flashlight?
Your flashlight isn’t traveling through much of the atmosphere and hitting many dust particles, the sun’s light is passing through all of space and then through the entire thickness of the atmosphere, even more of it if it comes in at an indirect angle.
